A Wealth of Health. Amazing nearly fifty years of age and still alive. Health and Well-being players a big part in enjoying the latter years in life. The children have reached adulthood and you are looking forward to having grandchildren and your retirement years. Unless you have a wealth of good health, retirement will not be what you wish it to be. It is time to aim high again just like you did when you got married.
Aim high again for the day you finish your working life. Do not aim to just sit in front of a TV with a glass in your hand all day etc. Relax that is for sure. Fifty to sixty years ago men especially retired from the workforce and for the next six months they sat in front of the new trend of day time TV with a glass and a full plate enjoying their retirement for six months but were then buried six foot under.
To have a wealth of health for your later years we must all stay fit and healthy. You do not have to be a gym junkie. Just stay active with hobbies, gardening, photography, joining clubs, tripping around the country etc. Just being active and watching your diet. But do not forget the brain, keep it active with brain games and think positive. Do not over do anything in life, you will then have a wealth of good health.
A little of everything is good for you no matter what it is, just do not over indulge with anything in life. You will then have a wealth of good health. I have seen people in high places in good health and when things went bad for them they stressed in a big way. Next thing they ended up dying from all sorts of illness, heart, cancer, etc. Stress brings on all sorts of illness very quickly. A wealth of good health is short lived as you age and give up a careful routine of active interesting jobs and hobbies. A wealth of good health is the building block for the retirement years.

The efficiency expert concluded his lecture with a note of caution:
“You do not want to try these techniques at home!”
“Why not?” asked a man from the audience.
“After years of not paying attention, I suddenly noticed my wife’s routine at breakfast,” the expert explained. “She made lots of trips to the
refrigerator, stove, table, and cabinets, often carrying just a single item at a time.”
“What did you do?” the man in the audience asked.
“I said, ‘Honey, Why don’t you try carrying several things at once? It’d be much more efficient.'”
“Well, did your suggestions save much time?” the attendee asked.
“Actually, yes,” the efficiency expert said. “It used to take her 20 minutes to get breakfast ready. Now I do it in seven.”
